D-1: Arrival

Check-in at hotel, welcome drink. Dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Besse and the Sancy (80 km)

We have breakfast. Commented stop at Lac Pavin, the youngest volcano in mainland France. Then on to the medieval town of Besse,
, which has long been closely linked to French history. Pass the belfry and let yourself be carried away by the architecture, the legends and the characters who have made it famous. Queen Margot's house, market halls, Sainte Marie manor house, medieval gardens - everything you need to discover this small town with character. Lunch at the hotel. On a panoramic route through the Auvergne high passes, enjoy the Auvergne countryside in a whole new light. You'll then have the opportunity to learn more about
minerals, the richness of the subsoil, their lithotherapy virtues and their use in decorative objects
and jewelry. Then visit La Bourboule, a spa with Belle Epoque charm, to decipher its architecture and lifestyle, but also to enjoy a moment of free time. Return to the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

D-3 :Volcanic day (115 km)

We have breakfast. Panoramic tour of the UNESCO-listed Chaîne des Puys. Ride the
cogwheel train to the summit of the Puy de Dôme volcano to enjoy the panoramic views. Lunch at
restaurant. Tour of Clermont Ferrand, its cathedral and historic center, discovering the architecture
of the grand hôtels particuliers, famous people and how the Michelin company has left its mark on the city. Return to hotel, dinner and accommodation.

D-4:Le terroir (50 km)

We have breakfast. Visit a high-altitude farm to meet a farmer and producer of Saint Nectaire and Cantal cheeses. From the preparation of the hay to the maturing process in the cellar, discover all the secrets involved in making the region's two most famous cheeses, before sampling them. Then discover the workings of a mountain honey house and its various products: honey, pollen, sweets, pastries... as well as the virtues associated with these
different products. Lunch time. Drive to Saint Nectaire. Visit the Mysteries of Farges, a journey through the centuries via four caves, ancient troglodytic dwellings dug out over 1000 years ago... Explore the site and discover its mysterious history... step back in time from medieval times to
today. In turn quarries, dwellings, hideaways, farms, maturing cellars, the site will never cease to
surprise you. Stop off at the church of Saint Nectaire, with its many capitals and impressive statuary. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight accommodation.
