Roman Days in Nîmes
Nîmes, the Roman city par excellence, hosts the Journées Romaines every year. For several days, the city is transformed into a veritable Roman camp, with historical re-enactments, entertainment and shows. For a weekend of 3 days, the Arènes de Nîmes hosts a 2-hour historical show. Over 500 extras from all over Europe retrace the great battles of the Gallic War.

Les Médiévales de Provins
France's biggest medieval festival! For 2 days, troubadours, acrobats and crowd entertainers will take you on a timeless experience! Join craftsmen, merchants and medieval enthusiasts scattered around the medieval city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dances, music, games, jousts, street performances and, of course, the great classics of the festival: the traditional medieval ball on the Place du Châtel, a grand medieval concert and the not-to-be-missed Sunday parade with 700 people in medieval costume.
Chantillly, the Grandes Ecuries
Famous for the sumptuous feasts held under Louis XIV, the Château de Chantilly was also a hunting estate with immense stables that could accommodate over 200 horses. Today, they are home to the Musée vivant du cheval, with its annual exhibitions and shows, in which horsemanship is a highly refined art.
