A renowned bullfighting and equestrian center, Santarem is the capital of Portuguese bullfighting, along with Vila Franca de Xira, and comes alive during the great feiras and touradas. Its lively alleyways conceal numerous churches with unsuspected interiors. Visit the town. Lunch in a restaurant. On to Tomar, former seat of the Knights Templar, Tomar is a town of great charm, thanks to its artistic and cultural wealth. The best proof of this is the Convent of Christ, one of the most important works of the Renaissance in Portugal. The quiet old town, with its white houses and straight streets, is well worth a visit. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight accommodation.

Tasting of Ginginha, the region's typical liqueur, in a glass of chocolate. Continuation to Nazaré. Nazaré's naturally beautiful beach boasts the oldest traditions in the art of fishing. Typical seafood lunch in a seaside restaurant. Visit to the town of Alcobaça, home to Portugal's most beautiful Cistercian abbey. The town is also famous for its earthenware, which can be found on the sidewalks of the main square. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight accommodation.
